So I taught Relief Society yesterday. I teach the 4th Sunday of the month on whatever General Conference talk the Bishopric assigns. This month my lesson was based on Elder Oaks' talk, "Good, Better, Best". Things went well, but I keep obsessing over what I should've said or done instead. It's so nerve racking when you don't know the ladies very well and can't balance your lesson because you havn't gotten a groove yet. I prayed and prayed I would say the right things that might help at least one lady in the room, but you just never know!
I've been reading other people's blogs and I think this blogging thing is genius. People are much more comfortable laying it all out on the table when there isn't someone there judging you right in front of your face. This way people can judge you behind your back which is a lot less awkward. Having said that, here's my day in a nutshell:
Woke up late this morning and got Spencer and Grace ready for school. I had my mental list of things to do today by 8:00am, and fully intended to accomplish every one. Scott took the first of his long anticipated tests this morning, so I had to keep Sophia away from him (not an easy thing to do), but paid off. He got an A! Then I finally unpacked our suitcases from Thanksgiving weekend and sat down for lunch with Sophia in front of the tv. ALWAYS A BAD IDEA! I had such good intentions, you see, to get a list of things accomplished. After that, nothing but "Project Runway" and HGTV. I did manage to cook dinner and after Scott got back from his dinner appointment, we were going to have Family Home Evening. Unfortunately, that was cancelled when we discovered Oliver didn't finish his homework!!!! AAAAAAAH. "Good, Better, Best". It's "Good" to have break and watch TV, it's "Better" to stay on task, but it's "Best" to be focused on the most important things. When Scott and I were discussing my lesson before church, he said something really profound. He said, "...most of the time we have to give up many good things to have that one best thing. Time is our most valuable currency."
Tomorrow is another day and I'll do better.

We got home around 1AM this morning from our trip to KS. It's good for me to clean up, better for me to make breakfast for the kids, but best for me to read and comment on your post. So far I'm doing PERFECT today!!! :)
This will make you feel better, or maybe best:
Woke up at 10 am because Paul called home from work, not sure how long Dallin had been awake in his crib. After changing a SEVERLY diaper rashed bottom, which bottom chose to pee and poo during the changing, Dallin finally got to get out of bed at 11 am. Breakfast served to both kids infront of the TV. I finally got to eat at noon and chose lunch instead of breakfast. Pumped while trying to convince D that the pump IS NOT A TOY! We are all still in our PJ's at 1 pm when some visitors come by. My couch was covered in clothes, so I threw them behind the couch before I opened the door. Thank goodness my mom is coming in tonight for a week! Paul is great at helping, but just can't keep up with the house work!
I hope my novel will make you feel like you are totally put together!
