Thanks and Thanksgiving Campaign

TO START, I'M NOT ASKING FOR DONATION, SO IT'S SAFE TO READ ON!!!

For those of you who don't know, St Jude's is a non-profit hospital where children with cancer can be treated at no cost. They don't turn any child away! It is also a research hospital, where just in our lifetime, they've developed treatments for various types of childhood cancer that have increased the chances for survival immensely.

This holiday season, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, along with celebrity friends, join Marlo Thomas for the fifth annual Thanks and Giving campaign encouraging shoppers across the country to "give thanks for the healthy kids in their lives, and give to those who are not."During November and December, customers are asked to help raise funds at participating retailers by adding a donation at check-out or by purchasing specialty items to benefit St. Jude.

I know times are tough right now for some of us. Believe me, I so understand! But, if some of you do plan to shop at any of St Jude's Hospital's partner stores, take a moment to look and see how these companies support the effort. Target especially has quite a few items where automatically, they give a percentage of the profits directly to St Jude's, like certain greeting cards, wrapping paper, chocolate, etc...

Here's a link to see the other stores that support St Jude's and how.

Charity?? Why?? Just kidding...

Lets get back to the "real important" issues...

I've looked at a couple of stores up here for Postum - no love so far. I saw something from Poland called Krikus or Krustee or something un-appetizing sounding - have you tried that? Or Caf-Lib?

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
