Memory Game

This was copied from Erika's blog, who copied it from Christian's blog. Play along, it's fun:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! (Even from last Sunday.)

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

The first memory that came to mind was standing with you by your car in the Old Argonner parking area when you were dropping Oliver at school. You were actually talking about how thin your hair is, and you showed me how skinny your ponytail was in diameter. I agreed. We probably also made fun of other people around us.

Here's another - playing together at your playground...and having all your "Fliegorhorst" moms talk about your potluck lunch that didn't involve me RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! Although, there are many more happy playgroud times.

Oh - here's another clear one...we were at my baby shower for Sam (at that one girl's house Delaina??) and we were talking about high school reunions. She was saying how she loved to go to hers to talk about being a mom (gag) and you said you didn't want to go because you never got a degree and only could talk about your kids. I said none of that mattered and it only mattered if you were skinny or not.

I remember being sneaky, reading your blog for awhile before I commented, (that is before I became a big mouth), finally I got the courage up to comment, and I am oh so glad we became friends..

Janine, I don't remember those stories in particular, but can picture them quite clearly in my mind. Although, I always remember you being at the "oh so exclusive" Fliegorhorst pot lucks. Hmmm

I remember meeting you and telling you that I was TOTALLY going to name my next son Oliver because I was in love with that name and I wanted to tell you that from the beginning so you didn't think I was too creepy of a stalker. (Now if I can just convince my hubby to get on board with the name Oliver ;)

Janine's post is really funny.
Totally forgot about the waffles, but totally remembered when you wrote that.
We went to high school together, so of course many a memory with you. I can remember SO MANY people thinking we were at least related if not sisters. Must've been the matching ponytail diameters? ;)
I can remember spending the night at your house and seeing your mom's rice storage bucket and wishing we had the same thing cuz we just had a hug bag of rice plopped in the kitchen and it wasn't cute like your mom's.
I can remember your boyfriend ~ can't remember his name, but I can remember seeing y'all holding hands.
I can remember we were hanging out in Ron Long's stairwell ~ we were just talking but at the same time hoping he and his buddies would come out so we could hang with them. They never came out.
I can remember when you spent the night one night and it was just the 2 of us and we were in the phone room making calls when we weren't supposed to and when my parents came home, we ran into my room so they'd think we were NOT making expensive Germany calls but my mom came in and told us she could TELL by the "feeling we left" in the room that we had been there and you and I just looked at each other totally shocked!
Fun fun fun times we had. I miss 'em.
OH, and love your memory game pic. It's perfect.

I couldn't decide which memory to choose. So, I picked "the drippy game". For those of you who are not familiar with it, I will explain it.
"The drippy game" is where Renee would convince me to let her drip Capri Sonne in my mouth while I laid down on her lap. I know it sounds stupid, that's because it was. She would then proceed to suddenly squirt it strait into my nose. It hurt really bad. She would do it every time and yet I kept playing. She will respond to this by saying it was always my idea. Right!

hm... your chicken salad, lasagna, green salad w/ candied pecans?? and red onions...

your love of Sunday school, Winchester, me...

your "crazy cool" skills, sewing, quilting, decorating, decision making...

I feel like I am writing a song and I should say, "these are a few of my favorite things"

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
