Thankful Thursday in Pictures

I am thankful for.... little girls who write letters like this:

Brave husbands who know when I'm at my wit's end and step right in with their trusty stain roller (oooh, poor guy, you know that's gotta hurt)...

The United
States of America and it's birthday which gives me an opportunity to make a killer jello cake...

Fairies and Fairy Camp...

Footballers and incredible football weather.....

Finished summer projects like....

this, this....

and this....Wisteria, peonies, hibiscus, etc.... check, check, check... oh, AND a completely stained deck..... (This took me many times longer than I expected, and I do not recommend it as an "easy" summer project!)

Mastering my serger so I could help out a friend, or vice versa....

Having the time to shop in Amish country with my family and finding this beautiful footstool, along with jams, veggies, bread and candy! I am so very thankful for this lovely time in my life!

My grandma gave me her serger and I haven't touched it yet. It scares me

Great pics. I want to see more of your house. And I love your front door. And the sisterly note reminds me of a story my brother wrote to me...wait, I'm not going to ruin the surprise, I'm going to blog about it.

Wow - so many good things happening in your life. Where to start.... Well I love the yard improvements -- that deck is incredible -- really beautiful -- and the kid's outdoor gym is awesome. Jello cake - yum! Little girls and their letters -- couldn't be more adorable. Beautiful footstool too. Oh, happy day!

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
