Has anyone been shoe shopping lately?
Well I have, and ladies, I'm not feeling it! What is with all the wedge/platform/espadrille combination footwear and who is sporting these abominations?.... well, STOP IT because no one needs to be walking around, looking like "Deee-Lite's" Lady Miss Kier, I don't care how old you are!!!! There can't be that many raves going on. Clearly something is terribly wrong in my universe, so please help me.
I bought this lovely white linen dress on clearance last year from JCrew and have been searching for a cute pair of heels wear with it since. Now, I love the idea of adding some color through shoes and jewelry, but what??? or should I stick with plain white? I don't know.
Do you have any ideas?
ps. I know this is frivolous and petty, but seriously, help me out.

cute dress. makes me want to go shopping. i think camel colored shoes might work, or a bold color such as red, green, or yellow. Although, white heels would look classy, too. but what do I know, I always look like a clown!

Try these on for size! I love Zappos and they have an outlet in KY. The Red are my favorite!
You will look sassy or classy anyway you look!
Get RED shoes. All girls need a pair of awesome red shoes (they have special powers, you know).
I'm clueless, but I posted on my blog and put a link, because my sisters-in-law, cousins-in-law, and all of their families do have clues. So I've encouraged them to come look and comment. So, if you get a bunch of comments from strangers - they probably know me.
I am with the ladies, go for RED shoes!!!. I saw two different ladies at the mall with this necklace, it had chunky beads then at the bottom a chunky flower all of it hot pink, but I think I have seen it in red too. It is pretty cool looking even if my description is lacking :)
I must have inherited the fashion sense in our family - sorry Janine! While I'm not a girl, so I should be clueless about this, I have to agree that red shoes would be the perfect match... then you could accessorize with some red jewelry as well.
Look at me - fashionista (or should that be fashionisto)?
That's my bro Renee, in case you are wondering.
go red!
Ummm pick me pick me!!!!!! This is so my cup of tea!!!!!!!!!!!! Shall we shop or shall I offer suggestions? What to do what to do...
I am a big red or yellow fan. Yellow, espeially would be fun for the summer. Yellow would look great on you!

I recommend a mule-style shoe with a low heel. Check out Vamp by Franco Sarto in red. I know it's kind of a wedge, but it's short and not so heavy looking. Snowball by Nine West in Red Crocodile are great if you wanted to dress it up. I often find white shoes make your feet look huge. A warm brown sandal would be great if you wanted to dress it down, or try a bronze metallic sandal for dressed down but not dowdy. They have some bronze flat sandals at Payless! Also, if you go into a store & try on the shoe, you can find the right size, then order them online or on ebay for cheaper shoes that you know will fit properly.
ps I am Janine's sister-in-law's sister.
Hi, Renee. I'm Janine's sister-in-law and I love the dress! I'd probably wear something strappy and light with this dress and wear a huge flower in my hair...actually I might even wear my espadrilles. (I can hear your moans from here!)
I HATE it when you finally go shoe shopping and everything is so crazy like it just came off the runway...we are normal people shoe designers.
I have a pair of red heeled pumps...love them...stopped wearing them when another girl at church wore hers and looked like a lady of the night....you gotta be careful which ones you pick...mine are WAY more subtle, but she made me nervous.
Go for a cute blue.
