Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

The girls were soooo excited when I asked them to help me stain our deck earlier today. We went and got the stain and two, top of the line $1.70 paint brushes at Lowes. They couldn't wait to get home! Look at those happy faces!!! They just can't get enough of it.

So how does this turn into....

..... this so quickly?!!!

I think her exact words were, "I hate this, I hate this. Painting is boring!"

Oh I feel her pain. I LOVE the end results of painting/staining/etc and always fool myself thinking "this will be fun or relaxing" HAHAHA! I think I've made that face before and then in swoops my husband to rescue me. I love a man that paints :)

Oh my! That is too cute and too funny. I feel her pain. Stacey, my husband paints too, which has probably saved our marriage :)

What a mean, mean mom you must be!! I would never make me kids paint. Instead, James paints, and the kids are inside cleaning up or outside weeding the garden. Oh the travesty - how dare I take time away from their busy Nintendo schedule!

Hey Renee,
How is it that you stay so young??? According to your ABOUT ME, you haven't aged a bit since you moved:) Don't worry--I haven't aged either. This is so cute!!! I love Soph!

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
