What's For Dinner?

Here is a dish I make when I want comfort food minus the muffin top. It's pretty easy and I think you can find the ingredients at any grocery.

-First you make a pot of good sticky Asian rice, not that fluffy nonsense that comes in a box. Rice should take more than a minute.
-Quarter a small head of cabbage and steam until the leaves are flexible, not soggy.
-Take one 1 lbs of ground turkey and add, 1 egg, 2 chopped green onion, 1-2 cloves of garlic minced, salt, pepper, and 1/2 C of Japanese breadcrumbs. Mix well with your hands. Then shape into small, bite size disks and fry in olive oil until the patties are cooked all the way through. (non stick pan works the best)
-Julienne two small carrots.
-Mix some soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds and a spoons worth of "Sambal Oelek" chili sauce together in a small bowl.

-Assembly: Take a small piece of the cabbage leaf, and layer inside a spoonful of rice, ground turkey patty, a couple of julienned carrot and a couple drops of sauce. Roll it all together and tie it with a thin piece of green onion.

So so SO tasty!!!

This looks so good!

I tried the Corn Pudding today -- wanted to give it a trial run before Thanksgiving Day! My friend came over and she was so excited. Her sister-in-law makes that recipe but would never share it. My friend was so happy to have it too! Thank you so much!

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
