Pancakes with Buttermilk syrup:
2 C all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 Tbsp baking powder
2 eggs
2 Tbsp veggie oil
2 C milk
1 Tbsp lemon juice
-Mix dry ingredients. Add the eggs, oil, milk and lemon juice. Mix well and let the batter sit for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, heat a skillet or non stick pan on medium heat, and then cook them. I use Pam spray and not oil when I cook them because I think the oil makes them greasy.
Buttermilk Syrup:
1 stick of butter
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 C sugar
1/2 C buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
-Melt butter, then add the other ingredients and slowly heat to a boil in a medium saucepan. (This syrup is very rich, so you don't need a lot per pancake!)

love pancakes. That syrup sounds amazing. Lately I've been adding vanilla and cinnamon to my pancakes. Someone told me the other day that she likes to finely chop an apple, saute it in butter to soften it, and add that to the batter. And I like to puree fresh berries and yogurt together for another topping. I could eat pancakes everyday.
And about your sea monkeys post. I do remember those videos...and I think some of them were a part of the Love at Home series of shorts or something like that. Maybe they were even shown on TV for ads??
And maybe I already posted that - or I've just thought it
My mouth is watering just reading about these yummy pancakes! Thanks I will be trying this recipe very soon!
Could that picture be any cuter?!?! I love it. I love pancakes too and eat them as often as I can get away with, the kids never mind... the hubby on the other hand isn't a fan of pancakes.
Is that you in the photo? too cute!
I love pancakes, mostly I love the syrup. :D

Thanks for the recipe. I made them tonight for dinner. I am always looking for the next best pancake recipe. These were so tasty and oddly enough, creamy (that sound weird).
4 out of 4 liked these (and even the neighbor's dogs gobbled the ones that Ellie threw at them)
