Fall Projects

I was busy last week experimenting with my embroidery machine and putting together a quilt for a very special girl and her very special sister.
Some of the girls from church wrote down a few inspiring thoughts to help this very special girl get ready for her new sister's arrival. I simply used fabric to frame these wise thoughts out, and I think it turned out well.
The dark blue fabric was my favorite. You can't tell, but it has tiny glittery polka dots. Very sparkly! I'll definitely use this fabric again.
Next I'm embroidering some robes, finishing my slipcovers, and a table runner for my MIL. Hopefully these projects will come together as well.

The quilt turned out so good! I was so bummed that I couldn't make it to her baby shower, but as it is, I had to babysit. :(

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
