I just love this Texas duplex Martha is featuring in the home tour section of her website. I don't know if I could really live with so much grey, but the pops of color seem to balance things out and all of the light helps as well. Practical or easy to clean????... probably not (too much open shelving and hard surfaces), but it's nice to look at. Those postcards are a fun idea. I wonder if they hang the Mickey Mouse Disney Cruise ones or the "My best friend went to Aruba and all I got was this stupid postcard" ones. Probably not.Thursday, November 4, 2010

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."

I love it. I could live with the grey/industrial feel.
I wonder how it would like with kids dirty socks/toys/books/and homework everywhere?
I could live with the industrial feel too (I think) but I couldn't love with the kids being able to get in to every single cabinet all the time. That is not a home for little hands.
