As Promised

To my "true" friends, I promised a slew of compliments to those who have regularly commented on my blog.
TIP: Just find your name because the rest will bore the crap out of you. It's pretty shameless and long.

Erika- She's first because she was the one who introduced me to the world of blogging and has hung in there. -I've known Erika since the 9th grade and have always looked up to her and admired her for so many things, but mostly because she's really good at sports- me, not so much. Her self deprecating humor is right up my alley and puts people at ease. I remember hating her at church dances because more boys asked her to dance than me, but I've let that go now. We saw each other a few years ago at my house in Kentucky when she was moving out east and I swear, after 3 kids, she looked the same. Maybe I do still hate her. Oh, she's also beautiful and a great mom.

Heather- aka, Erika's sister- So funny, what else can I say? She and my sister were most appropriately good friends in middle school and maybe the most inappropriate girls ever. I can't remember what exactly the two of them did, but I'm sure it was ridiculous. Heather is one of the most talented photographers I've ever seen. If you click on her name she has her photography link on her blog. Please check it out!!!! She's also beautiful and a great mom.

Candice- What's not to like?! My sister is so funny and my best friend. Now that we live close to one another we get to hang out a lot more. We actually spent last Saturday together, kids and all at the Opryland hotel. I kept saying, this is the best day ever! Between the dancing fountains, the creepy tree lady, indoor gondola ride, the most shockingly expensive salmon you've ever tasted and 50 thousand bathroom breaks, it was a blast. My sister scores a 10 on the funny scale (My dad told me I scored a 6). She's also beautiful and a great mom.

Kristen- I met her in Kentucky and liked her from day one. She, Julie and I were best friends and stuck together because we didn't have any family and all felt a little out of place there. Her husband Paul is a great guy and helped us out tremendously with our house remodel and moving. Kristen was and is always there to listen to me complain without judgement and on top of that, made me the cutest scarf as a going away present! Oh, she also beautiful and a great mom.

Julie- Another friend from Kentucky. This girl does it all!!! Three kids, full time student, an editors assistant, in the Stake Primary Presidency, substitute pianist, and 100% visiting teaching. I'm sure I'm leaving stuff out, but that about sums it up. She has listened patiently to my whining and I can't tell you how many times she watched my kids. A great example/friend with an unbelievable testimony and so much compassion for others. She's also beautiful and a great mom.

Alice- Yes, she's my friend. -I realize I've never met her, but she's so hilarious and has commented more than most of my so-called friends that I see all the time. So, Alice is not only funny but a great writer. I love her blog because it's not the typical "Mormon Mom" blog. In the last little while she's tackled subjects from 'Ugly Kids' to 'Working at Target', from 'Mitt Romney' to 'Enlarged Prostates' with equal amounts of honesty and humor and a very limited amount of family pictures. She's beautiful and a great mom too.

My Inlaws, Betty and Mike- They get a free pass because they don't know how to post comments, but email and call on a regular basis with encouragement and nice words. They're very supportive whenever we try new things and aren't embarrassed of me yet.? Thanks! They're also beautiful and really great parents.

That's about it. Some my other "friends" and family send emails with comments and I really do appreciate it, but it's not making my blog very interesting! The rest have simply said, "nah, I don't really want to". I don't think my circle of friends are into this blogging business yet, but I'm going to keep on keepin' on!

O.k. you know you must get a life when you read a blog that compliments you and you just cry!!! What is wrong with me? It's as if I have never had a compliment before. thanks for making me cry.

And, thanks for also having a good blog that I enjoy reading...not too many kiddie pictures (of course some are good, but I just like to read about stuff)

And, what kind of kind person are you, just throwing out compliments like that? I must learn to be nicer.

So I just read this. I just may have to read this post every night now because at the end of the day, well, this really made my day!

And I read everyone else's compliments just because it was so very interesting. I agree w/you about Alice. She's awesome. I also like her range of topics, too. She always gives me something new to read. Though I really liked the "teamw" stuff! Very satisfying!

And tell Heather that ANYONE can take a picture like hers. They just need a good camera and expensive flash. It's an inside joke, but she'll love it. OK, I'll love it that she was told that! :)

Is it ok to cuss at your children at the top of your lungs if they've come out of their bedrooms (supposed to be in bed) for the 45th time?

I'm going to copy you by the way. I'm going to "talk about" my frequent commentators. That was very thoughtful of you and really did make my evening!

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
