There is Sunshine in My Soul Today...

I was reading the news this morning and came across this article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090311/ap_on_re_us/states_of_happiness

Want to know the happiest state in the country? It's Puketah, ..er, I mean Utah;)

I'm just kidding, geez! I'm not from Utah, but having been a few times, I think it's a beautiful state with lots of fun stuff to do and it seems, a much healthier lifestyle than a lot of other places in US. -It's clean, the landscape is lovely and the people are too. Very nice! But, we should give credit where it's due and thank the good Lord for Gospel standards and the Word of Wisdom, right? It's hard to be happy when your body feels bad! This of course is not to say the W.O.W. guarantees perfect health, or that we Mormons actually live it perfectly (hello meat sparingly), but overall I believe it is a healthier lifestyle and I am grateful for it.

I'm also grateful for Ocean Spray craisins. I love those things!

that's funny. I thought you told me you lived in Utah once before. and you said you liked it. I am just confused where this "puketah" thing comes from. or was it all a dream?

Wait a minute I live in puketah!!

I love this place, because I don't have to drive an hour to get to a temple.

I did live there for a while years ago and thought it was lovely. I don't know where the "Puketah" came from. I think Julie P (native Utah girl), but I'm not sure. I thought it was funny though.

Not only is Utah the happiest state, but the most sensitive!

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
