As I was sewing yesterday, I fell into a period of quiet reflection and thought to myself, "Whatever happened to Certs?"

Do you all remember this candy/mint that seemed to be all over the checkout aisle of the grocery and now, it seems to me, have suddenly disappeared. Maybe because we were in Europe for a while I missed the big announcement, but what the heck?! They were little lifesaver sized candy/mints that had no hole in the middle until you sucked on them for a while. Then you had to be careful because the newly created hole would get a little sharp. Do you remember the winter fresh flavor, that when you crunched into it, made those dynamic sparks in your mouth or the delicious orange flavor, my personal favorite?

Seriously, do you guys know?

I think the last time I bought some was in the late 90's. Maybe they just did not make it through Y2K? Mysterious.

Good question! I totally had to research it immediately. Turns out, they're still listed on the parent company's website (Cadbury Adams)as a current brand! You better write to them and get them back in your stores!

No, we won't be moving. Mark will actually be working closer to home...Cool Springs instead of downtown Nashville.

Weird, I haven't thought about Certs forever. You are so funny! I love knowing I can count on you for a random blurb to make me smile! I love the new Martha Stewart by the way!!! She is brilliant, maybe you could be one of her minions, you are so creative!

So funny. Now I know the answer I'll give to the checkout person when he/she asks, "Did you find everything you were looking for?" ;o)

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
