Mother's Day Questionnaire

Last week in church, the children were given questionnaires to fill out. These answers were later compiled to make fun Mother's Day booklets that they handed out today before sacrament. Here are my kids' answers:

What makes your mom really happy?

Oliver- When we do what we're told.
Spencer- I don't really know.
Grace- When we be good.
Sophia- When I give her hugs.

What does your mom like to do for fun?

Oliver- Watch design shows.
Spencer- Go shopping.
Grace- Cook cookies.
Sophia- She hugs me.

What does your mom like to get for Mother's Day?

Oliver- Expensive chocolates.
Spencer- Candy.
Grace- Love, kisses and hugs.
Sophia- A picture.

What does your mom tell you to do all the time?

Oliver- Get good grades.
Spencer- Take out the trash.
Grace- Do your chores.
Sophia- Clean up.

If your mom was a piece of candy, what kind of candy would she be? Why?

Oliver- Sour Patch Kids, because she's sour and she's sweet.
Spencer- Baby Ruth's, because they're awesome.
Grace- Licorice, because she loves licorice.
Sophia- A lollipop.

It is always the best gift to see what our kids have to say about us. It is always so telling.

i have to say that I was delighted when Sophia said that my favorite thing to do was take pictures and not to blog. :) It made me look a little bit of a better mom, don't you think?

Those answers are so cute! Shane told me that instead of a soccer mom... I'm going to be a blogger mom! I said... well, I can still be a soccer mom, as long as I can take my laptop with bluetooth internet access to the soccer fields, take pictures & video and upload it to my blog on the spot! Just kidding.. kinda.. am I really that addicted?

sweet and sour! I love it!

I could just picture all your kids saying these things out loud, with a smirk (Oliver), a cheesy grin (Spencer), a giggle (Gracie), and a shy smile (Sophie).

We miss your family, the chapel looks empty without it.

You are a crack up! I didn't know you blogged! I got this random invite on my facebook from Jessica Powers, and then she found my blog which took me to hers, and there were all these ladies from the ward! We knew!

Hey there my wonderful friend! Those were the best answers, you have such great kids! I am sorry I haven't called you lately, last time you called--from a baseball game--I was also at a baseball game and I didn't hear the phone ring. As always, life is busy! Count on a call from the Jules this weekend! Have something fun to share with me, I could use a good laugh!

I love the theme of cleaning up and doing chores - my kids think that cleaning is my favourite activity. Also, I should have them read this - they think that they are the ONLY kids in the WHOLE WORLD who have to do chores.

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
