The Wierd Feeling

I got what my good friend affectionately calls the "welcome to your 30's haircut" last week and I love it! Yes, a few years too late, but still. I love my 30's and embrace every year that gets me closer to middle age... not.

When I'm feeling nostalgic for the good ole days, I like to take a trip down memory lane on youtube. Sometimes, however this sometimes results in the wierd feeling. My sister and I coined this phrase years ago. It's the feeling you get when you see, hear, or smell something that instantly takes you back in time. An emotional time machine of sorts.

So, for all you 30 somethings, here's a little wierd feeling for you to enjoy!!!

So, I missed your blog one day, and I feel like I've missed a week! Did you just spew forth a bunch of blogs??? Love the youtube video. What's sad is that I sing that song all the time to my kids...they know it. I'll have to show them the vid.

Second - love the 30's do. And the quilt for Will - thanks. I'm only getting used to my 30's and I'm almost 38. Pathetic.

Will is screaming at the top of the stairs - gotta run

I sing that song to my kids all the time too. They would probably not understand the video since they have no idea what a pinball machine is ;)

Woa.... I sing that song sometimes... it's one of those that is stuck in my brain permanently. But for some reason, I totally forgot about the pinball machine thing!! That was so funny to see and remember where that song came from!!

YOU NAILED IT GOT ME ON ONE
I LOVE THINGS LIKE THAT MOSTLY THE GOOD ONES THOUGH.
WHENEVER I WOULD GET AN EPIDURAL GIVING BIRTH MY MIND INSTANTLY SNUCK BACK TO MY MEMORIES OF CHILDHOOD CANCER.
DO YOU THINK THAT WE ARE FIGURING OUT MORE WAYS TO USE OUR INTELLIGENCE? ARE OUR BRAINS GROWING BIGGER IN THE 30'S
I THINK I CAN TELL YOU WHAT TIME IT WILL BE ONE MINUTE FROM NOW.hehe

I have this feeling....it's so weird! Oh, it's from THAT song!!!! Love it! And, love the footage from the past.

We are old, aren't we? we need a pic of what a 30's haircut looks like...I need one in a BAD way.

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
