Last week my "thankful" list went on entirely too long, so I'm keeping it short today.... you're welcome.
-I'm thankful for funny. My least favorite quality in others is a lack of a sense of humor. You don't have to be funny, but please laugh at my jokes. There's nothing more awkward than being sarcastic and someone thinking you're serious. Here's a funny snl link if you need a good laugh: http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/play.shtml?mea=237294
-I'm thankful for a day off. Today we miraculously have no commitments, which means I don't have to shower.
-I'm thankful for sewing. I love to sew and while I don't have a lot of time right now, I've already made a list of projects for when I do. Loose linen roman shades, gum drop pillows (pictured above), a certain denim quilt pattern from my clever friend Jackie, and Amy Butler skirts are at the top of my list. I'm going to find one of those wooden busts and start making my own clothes... not like FLDS wear, but cute stuff, c'mon.

I love those "no commitment/no shower days" too :) Enjoy!
I love your sense of humor and the funny interesting things you think of and find and post on your blog... oh, and the nostalgia! Love it. I sooooo envy your sewing capabilities too. That SNL clip was hilarious!
I am so not funny, but I do laugh at your jokes! Seriously thanks for always putting a smile on my face. I am really excited to check out all the things you are going to sew.
You sew too! You make me feel totally inadequate, but I do laugh at your posts all of the time. Think we can still be friends?
You are a crack up! I am so excited to do the gum drop pillows and skirts! I would love to see you in one of the dazzling little FLDS numbers. :)
I watched that video and laughed and laughed- I love SNL!
And days off are the best. Of course I don't shower on those days either and that's when everyone and their dog stops by to see me in all my dirty glory.
Lot's to be thankful for...
shower, who showers before midnight? I am thankful for your snl clip, now I can laugh myself to sleep, you'll have to ask Chelsea about my 5 minute Nutcracker, it tops sln anyday...
i think you would be simply stunning in the flds wear--and the fact that you made it yourself would make it authentic.
just don't forget to wear the leggings and the white tennis shoes with them.....
Laughter is key! Thanks for the laugh! I needed one! I am the queen of sticking my foot in my mouth, and doing really stupid things! That's why I surround myself with people who will laugh with me instead of at me (or roll their eyes).
