I'm so Thankful for my friend Mia

If you haven't visited my friend Mia's blog, you should. It's very cute and she's featuring like 3 giveaways right now. She's also inspired me to be less cynical with one of her posts in particular called "Thankful Thursdays" where every Thursday she writes several things she's thankful for.

I'm totally copying her.

1. I'm thankful for my kids (duh). Seriously, since General Conference I've felt a renewed sense of purpose and gratitude toward my Heavenly Father for my children. Sometimes being a mom can be so incredibly frustrating, but when I remember who they are, and that they truly are a gift on loan, I'm humbled. I can't believe how blessed I am.

2. On that same note, I'm thankful for my mudroom. I have a built in mudroom that is the envy of my girlfriends and I completely understand! It's the reason we bought this house and it's the reason I've become less neurotic about mud and shoes because they now have their place. With 4 kids, it's truly a blessing.

3. I'm thankful for ground turkey. I do not like ground beef and dreaded making anything that called for it. Since I discovered the difference of ground turkey, things have really turned around! Tacos, chili, burgers... oh yeeeeeaaaah. No more irony taste, or little grizzly mystery bits.

Yeah! I am so glad you like the Thankful Thursday post! I actually copied the idea from Tiburon over at http://utahtib.blogspot.com/ I have to get on that for today. I love ground turkey too, I am not a big red meat fan. Ps I have been putting vinegar in my dishwasher. How long am I supposed to do this?

And I actually love red meat. All of it. Every single cut. Yum....

Of course, we actually have the best beef in the world here in Alberta.

What a fabulous idea! You know I just went to a conference where they talked about "walkie talkies" rather than sitting and hving a meeting, you walk and talk--very productive and burns calories too! I love "Thankful Thursday" too!

Renee, you are so darn adorable. I just think that whenever I see you at church or visit your blog! I love your WWMD blog. I agree with Chels, you get the domestic virtue award! I also love to find things to keep me challenged while being a stay at home mom. I love all your ideas. Okay, true confessions.... I'm kinda neurotic about organization. You need to come over sometime and check my closets and cupboards! It's a little overkill... ! But when my hubby watches friends, yea, Monica reminds him of me too... :) Unfortunately I'm not as clean as she is... still working on that one!

I, too, am envious of your mudroom. Why don't we all have one. Let's hang out as soon as things settle down in my crazy household. Thanks for all your help the last several months. You are a lifesaver!

My whole house is a mud room!!

I think I'll copy the thankful Thursday thing, too.

OH, and to post youtube videos. You initially have to sign up. Just go to the customize part of your blog and you'll see how to post videos, youtube, etc. I can't remember how, but it gives pretty easy directions. Then after that, anytime you want to post a youtube video, you just hit the share button and it prompts you send to your blog.

my sister is a freak about ground beef, also, so i too am grateful for ground turkey!! i've been surprised over the years at how i really can't tell the difference if i use it in place of ground beef for a recipie. but i am a carnivore, so bring on all forms of red meat!

Hi Renee- I love this post. What a great idea. I hope you don't mind, but I think I'll try it for awhile as well. I love reading your posts. You are too funny.

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
