SUPERSTAR!!!

Spencer is my competitive child and miraculously self motivated! I only worry that he puts too much pressure on himself really.
Well, yesterday was an incredibly busy/difficult day that started out not so fun. We had appointments that led into snacks on the road and baseball.
Oliver went to a friends' house but the poor girls got carted around everywhere. Grace had 3 fillings (that's another post) all the while with her cast and Sophia, being 3, was very frustrated/ing. Well, when we finally got to the game, within the first 30 minutes we had to trek back to the van several times, get dinner, go to the bathroom, all the while poor Spencer's team was losing.
We finally got settled into our seats, tummy's full, bladders empty, when Spencer was up to bat. I think he got 2 strikes, 1 foul, and then.... he hit a HOME RUN!!! It was awesome, and his little face was priceless! Of course, I didn't have my camera because I'm not a good mom, but up here in my mind it is burned. He played a great game overall and in the end, the other kids voted to give him the game ball.
To see your kids happy is the greatest joy on this earth.

I love those moments. Of course we usually leave the baseball field with crying children & having had to dip into the kid's college fund to buy "keep 'em quiet" treats from the snack shack. That's a great end to a day that involved cavities and chaos!

Way to go Spencer. Sounds like an interesting day. I have had several of those myself lately. I hope to emerge from my hermit status soon.

Your a GREAT mom because you etched that face in your mind. Who needs a camera...they are so modern...those brain etchings....have been around forever.

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
