Hooray for DOLLYWOOD!

Yippee, we're allowed to jump on the hotel beds! We love vacation!!!

Is that little Sophia and Grace way up there?

We surprised the kids with a "spontaneous" mini vacation to Dollywood. It was so much fun, I highly recommend this theme park to anyone east of the Mississippi! It's a manageable size park and has a nice mixture of shows, rides and you sure do learn a lot about mountain livin'. ie, how to make yer own candles and metalworks.

The Dolly Express. FYI, if you do visit Dollywood and ride the train through the foothills of the smokies, DON'T ride in the car directly behind the engine. I'm just saying. http://dollywood.com/

I love all your pictures. Your house looks so beautiful - and I'm jealous. Especially of your coat room. You should see mine with all our parkas, hoodies, hats, mitts, boots...

Making your own candles?? Remember that first night I met you - we dipped candles in that mixture of melted wax and cinnamon - and then you drove me home (or maybe you didn't).

I am SO SO So jealous!!! I want to go to Dollywood so bad it hurts. Jeff and I went to Gatlinburg last year and didn't have time to make it to Dollywood. Plus we had little Lincoln who was only 6 mo at the time. sigh....One of these days I'll be back. Cute pictures! It looks like you had a great time.

We are going to have to check it out. Do you think they will let me ride the elephant too? Priceless picture of Scott. :)

Would you believe that after living here for 12+ years we have never been to Dollywood. We'll need to be checking that out sometime! We usually head up to Six Flags in Louisville. Great pictures and it looks like you had such a fun Christmas!

My favorite picture is the one of Scott in the elephant! Ha! Ha! Ha! Is Oli's hair really that long or is that a hat? It looks great, I like it!

HEY, you were right in our neck of the woods...You probably drove right past our exit.

Love love Dollywood here, but only when it's warm outside....ahhhh, the thought of riding those roller coasters in the Winter is making my toes very very icey.

I am glad you had a great time.

"My professional life has been centered on the home, the well being of the family and everything that these subjects encompass. When I began working in this area more than 25 years ago, the subject of homemaking as it relates to families was largely overlooked, though the interest was clearly broad and the desire for information strong. My colleagues and I soon discovered we were satisfying a deeply felt unmet need."
